For decades, the best graduates of South Tamil Nadu had to leave to find technology work. Companies that set up here get committed people, lower costs and a community that wants them to succeed.

Why is Tirunelveli called the Oxford of South India?
The name belongs to Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli’s twin city, for its century-old schools and colleges. The region is still known for education, with Manonmaniam Sundaranar University alone affiliating 104 colleges.
Is the talent really there for tech roles?
Yes. About 76 engineering colleges sit within roughly three hours of the campus, and many graduates would rather work near home than move to a metro. The constraint has been employers, not people.
How do visiting executives get here?
Fly into Tuticorin from Chennai or Bengaluru, or into Madurai or Thiruvananthapuram on international routes. We can arrange airport pickup and recommend hotels in the city.
Are there government incentives?
Tamil Nadu has offered incentives for IT investment outside Chennai. Tamil Nadu changed government in 2026, so please confirm current schemes with Guidance Tamil Nadu; we can help you with the conversation.
